March 06, 2015 -Chapter 7 & 8 (Sort Of)

I attempted to fix what needed to be fixed in my Chapter 7 overhaul. After some three drafts, each with ever increasing forced moments and loss of character voices supplanted with my own, the Grand High Benevolent Editor, finally told me, “Stop. Just Stop.”

When someone you trust is reading your material and tells you to stop for the day, or skip over this problem and move on, listen to them. Most of the time a writer’s own worst enemy are themselves.

So I stepped away from Chapter 7 and played ‘This or That’ with Chapter 8.

All in all not an entirely eventful writing session but it’s something.  Sometimes writing is like chipping away at an iceberg.  It may seem like much but you’ve still done something, and it’ll help later on.
